In the early seventies Bill Eberle became dissatisfied with Christianity and turned to the East in search of truth, studying the Upanishads, Tao Te Ching, and Yoga Sutra in depth. Even becoming a disciple of Swami Satchidananda, the “Woodstock Guru.”
Ten years later, under severe stress from on-and-off yoga practice, he came back to his roots with Jesus and began studying him and the Bible, with help from teaching tapes and meetings.
Another ten years later he was still not satisfied resuming his yoga practice, this time with the discipline supplied by the Holy Spirit. Part of the plan was to realize GOd by repeating Jesus’ name continuously.
While studying the benefits of Jesus name (as a foundation for practice) he discovered that God is actually here. This discovery seemed to make repeating the name unnecessary – but he had a lot of fun writing this book.
